Spring and Summer Wedding Favors
The key to great spring and summer wedding favors is to play on the theme of your wedding and to also use seasonal elements so that your favors will be fun, beautiful, and will leave your guests with vivid memories of your wedding. Elements from nature such as seeds, robin’s eggs, and flowers are very popular for spring weddings while summer weddings generally see more beach-themed favors and favors focusing on summer activities, such as barbecuing. Of course choosing items such as flowers are always appropriate for a summer wedding as well and candles and soaps can be carved into just about any shape to fit any wedding, no matter the season! Spring Wedding Favors
Seeds are one of the most popular spring wedding favors that couples hand out but you can play on this idea in many ways and shape it so that it’s unique to your wedding. Give your guests a pot of ‘magic beans.’ Using small pots, place a small clay-molded bean sprout and place it in the ‘dirt’ (can also be molded clay or simply torn brown paper). Also sprinkle some bean seeds on top of the dirt with the word ‘love’ painted on them. Decorate the pot with a label featuring a photo of the two of you, your names, and the date of your wedding.
You can also give your guests seed packets with customized labels or give them small flowers that have already started to bloom that they can keep as a potted plant or take home and put in their garden!
Summer Wedding Favors
Summer wedding favors generally focus on aspects such as the beach, barbecuing, and sailing. You can use these elements in just about any favor. Using small tea lights, look for barbecue candle holder sets that feature a small grill and barbecue tools, with the candle sitting right inside the grill! You can also give your guests flip-flops in just about any design, whether you want notepads or keychains and beach chair candle holders also always make for great summer wedding favors. Be sure to customize whatever you want to use by including your names, a picture, if possible, and the date of your wedding.
Favor Holders
You can create your own favors by finding fun containers and filling them with chocolate, candy, nuts, or other fun stuff! Find small tin pails for your spring wedding and fill them up with pastel after-dinner mints or find small beach pails and stuff them with seashell-shaped soap for a summer wedding. These favor holders can generally be found very cheap and if you buy your favors in bulk, you can simply stuff and wrap them yourself. Not only are they super cute but they could also save you a lot of money! Be sure to decorate the outside of the container with flowers, seashells, or Easter eggs!
